They are pressure activated one way mechanical vents fitted to eliminate the need for conventional pipe venting and roof penetrations.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eA discharge of waste water causes the vent to open, thereby releasing the vacuum and facilitating its safe passage into the sewer system. It must be installed at the highest flood level of the highest sanitary fitting; e.g. a toilet cistern or wash hand basin. The Valve is normally installed in the roof space\/attic.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eUsually situated on the top of the soil pipe in the roof space where it must have access to a free air supply. \u003cstrong\u003eDO NOT \u003c\/strong\u003elocate the Cowl externally.
