Soil Pipe Pushfit Air Admittance Valve

DESCRIPTION:

Air Admittance Valves are designed to allow the free entry of air into the sanitary pipework system without the escape of foul gases into the building. They are pressure activated one way mechanical vents fitted to eliminate the need for conventional pipe venting and roof penetrations.

A discharge of waste water causes the vent to open, thereby releasing the vacuum and facilitating its safe passage into the sewer system. It must be installed at the highest flood level of the highest sanitary fitting; e.g. a toilet cistern or wash hand basin. The Valve is normally installed in the roof space/attic.

Usually situated on the top of the soil pipe in the roof space where it must have access to a free air supply. DO NOT locate the Cowl externally. Must be fitted in a space that is
easily accessible!

SPECIFICATIONS:

- Fits 4"/110mm soil pipe

- Dual fit synthetic rubber finger seal outlet

- Can be installed above or below the flood level of connecting appliances.

- Air flow capacity of 40 l/s

- Incorporates a stainless steel mesh in the air intake

- Complies with BS EN 12380:2002, A1 rated

- McAlpine recommend that Air Admittance Valves be installed internally within the building

- Range of Temperature: -20C to +60C.
