DESCRIPTION:

Multi-Layer PEX-AL-PEX Composite Pipe is a 5 layer Insulated Composite Pipe manufactured in accordance with EN ISO 21003 that combines the advantages of a metal and plastic pipe, while at the same time eliminates the disadvantages of both materials when used in isolation.

The pipe is classified for maximum working pressure of 10bar for all the classes defined in the standard EN ISO 21003: Class 1-2 (hot water supply) - Class 4 (underfloor heating and low temperature radiators) - Class 5 (radiators). MAximum Temperature is stated at 95° C The TIG longitudinally butt welded aluminium core with an inner and outer PEX layer is absolutely diffusion tight and reliably prevents the ingress of oxygen into the pipe.
All layers are permanently bonded together by use of an intermediate adhesive layer. The permanent plastic to aluminium bond ensures that thermal expansion of the pipe is determined by the expansion factor of the aluminium which roughly corresponds to that of a metal pipe such as Copper or about 15% of a pure plastic pipe. The inhibited Thermal Expansion greatly reduces stresses in the Piping System. It is suitable for use with General Plumbing and Heating Installations including Under Floor Heating. The inner core is made of clear un-pigmented PEX which is toxicologically clean. The smooth inner surface is highly resistant to the formation of fur and scale.

*26mm and 32mm comes with an Insulation Thickness of 10mm
