Hanging Cowl for Liners used with oil and solid fuel fired appliances

DESCRIPTION:

Multiflex is a spirally wound double ply flexible flue liner with a smooth inner flueway and robust outer skin. The wall of the liner is formed by two overlapping strips of 0.1 mm thick 316Ti (titanium) grade austenitic stainless steel. The overall wall thickness of the liner including the external profile is 4.5mm. 

The liner can operate safely at normal working temperatures of 500 deg. C and also withstand thermal shock at 1000 deg. C. Multiflex is quick and easy to install in one complete length.

The Liner can avoid structural alteration of straight and offset chimneys. Suitable for use with coal, wood, oil or gas burning appliances and open fires. Designed to improve the performance and safety of old chimneys, Multiflex is a tried and tested double skin flexible liner with a smooth sealed flueway. It should be noted that where any stainless steel flexible liner is used within a chimney previously used to serve solid fuel appliances, the soot residues left on the chimney walls should be thoroughly removed when the chimney is cleaned before installing the liner. Any sooty residues left within the chimney flue have the potential, particularly when damp, to produce very aggressive acidic compounds which will attack the stainless steel liner from its outer surface.

Secure the Hanging Cowl to the liner in the required position and very firmly secure it by tightening the screwed locking band and hanging straps.
